These methods are much more social and it can be great fun getting fit and healthy whilst making friends. Having fun whilst exercising is fundamental to longevity, it needs to be interesting and varied to keep you doing it.

Losing belly fat and sculpting a slim toned stomach requires a lot more then boring, endless crunches and sit-ups. Of course there are many variations on these exercises to lose belly fat from your waist-line little by little. As an example of this The American Council for Exercise recommends doing vertical leg crunches as a substitute for regular crunches. You can do these simply by lying on your back holding your legs up at a 45 degree angle to the floor.
Developing your core strength is key to losing belly fat and another way you can develop this is by getting an exercise ball and doing leg lifts and crunches with it. The exercise ball will help you to put all of your core muscles to work by encouraging you to maintain your balance throughout the exercise. You will want to work your back muscles also to maintain muscle symmetry and overall core strength.

Whether it is losing belly fat with core strength building and/or stress reduction you want to achieve, then in terms of efficiency, it’s hard to beat Yoga and Pilates. They are wonderful activities for reducing the producton of stress hormones within your body and will also strengthen your abdominal muscles at the same time, making these truly excellent exercises to lose belly fat. In today’s fast-paced lifestyles we all have tendencies to get stressed out, it also comes in so many forms that it can be hard to recognize. It could be emotional stress, injury, illness or even the overuse of stimulants. When your body is under stress it goes into self-preservation mode, the brain starts to release a hormone called cortisol and it’s this hormone that instructs your body to start storing fat, particularly around your middle.
Our ancestors never had access to food like we do today and there could be times of famine until more food could be found, this body process of storing fat is a throwback from those times. To relieve this muscle tension and curb the release of cortisol, the stretching and breathing exercises from Yoga and Pilates are quite simply first class. Emphasis is on smooth flowing motions and relaxation, which clams the mind, slows down your heart, reduces blood pressure and relieves stress on the body which are great benefits in the battle to losing belly fat.
A great number of Yoga poses are actually highly efficient at toning your waist. You might want to look out for seated or standing poses where you are required to extend your legs whilst maintaining your balance, also look for poses that you will need to perform in the supine postion.
There main emphasis with these exercises are to get you into a regular routine combining cardio, Yoga and core strengthening.
